It is written

And it came to pass that on the eve of the Christian sabbath, Lakin did participate in the Last Chance dance at Springville High Adolescent Temple. As in the tradition of her youth, she and 9 other maidens met at the paint well to fill over 800 water balloons and 20 squirt bottles with heretofore named latex paint and invited their temporary beloveds
to partake in one of the most hedonistic,
and enviable celebrations of the year.
The Paint War.
(Everyone jumps at the chance to get a "peace" of this action.)

And I say unto you,
what paint hath joined together, let no thing turn asunder.
(he's 6'5")
So it is written, so let it be done.
Amen

I think I remember seeing pics just like this last year. No wait, I think I was actually at your house when she came home all painted up. Too fun.

HOW. FUN. IS. THAT!!! Cute post, too. I've never heard of this dance before. Is it unique to Springville High? How long has this tradition been going on? Is it a girls' choice or do the boys ask? Do they do the paint thing every year or is there a different theme every year? So many questions, so few answers. So little patience in waiting for a response. :) What a great idea, though.

Neesh, the dance "Last Chance" is the last dance of the year at Springville High- girl's choice, and this paint war "theme" is an idea that Lakin and her friend came up with as Sophmores and they have done it every year since. Each year more and more girls join their "group" because they have so much fun.

Meg, I wish you were here this year too!!! :-(
