Soooooo…….I went to the James Taylor/Carole King concert this week (incredible!) and while there felt myself mentally sliding back in time to those college years. The songs they sang brought back all kinds of memories. As I looked around at all the other people in my generation – swaying and clapping to the music it made me think how crazy fast time passed and how different my life has been from the one I had imagined it would be back in the years when James, Carole and I were celebrating my college achievements. Different. Not necessarily better or worse, but definitely – most decidedly - different. It certainly hasn’t been an even road, but I’ve done things I never thought I could, been places I’d never imagined I would go, and am able to view things from a much different perspective than I ever thought I would. I am so grateful for it all. Fire and Rain.
Surprise!

That would be a fun concert! Sounds like you are making the most of your itty bitty summer break time! One more year!
I am trying to live live live...and it HAS been an interesting summer but a very fun one. Miss you.
This is a beautiful, expressive post that speaks to my heart. You said it way better than I ever could have. Thanks.
Thanks Neesh. I would also like to speak to your face so let's get that dessert day (no salads allowed) goin'!
James Taylor and Carole King came to the Hollywood Bowl here also and I would have LOVED to go, but alas, we did not. I'm thoroughly jealous.
You know what I loved most about this thought is that when I hear James Taylor songs I am taken immediately to the summer after I graduated high school and was living with Krista in Provo going to BYU for the summer term.
Love it. Thinking of you. Also, hello China! Looked incredible. Glad you had such a dazzling time.
Lola, Lola! So good to hear from you! Isn't it great how music makes those memories rush right back. natalie.call It was a great concert - next time, don't miss it! Miss you tons....no literally TONS!
Sounds almost as fun as "Goin' to the Sun".
