BUT….now I have news! So much has happened within the last couple of weeks that the “’I’ve been too busy to blog” excuse really does apply. It started with an article I wrote to MORE Magazine (geared to those over 40) about how anti-aging is really just another name for cosmetic surgery. Anyway, they had one of the editors call me (Jacob Davis) to clarify some things and we hit it off over the phone. We exchanged email address and began corresponding ..and then talking on the phone, just before Christmas. He flew out to spend some time with me, in person, for a few days just a week or so ago and it was INCREDIBLE.
ANYWAY………….long story short, we just decided to go for it and we are planning to get married on Valentines Day next month. I know what you are all thinking, but trust me THIS TIME….I know he is the one! He is 52 years old, lives in LA, has two grown children and is funny and intelligent while being soooooooo handsome at the same time (as you can see by the picture).
No, I am not retiring for at least a year so we will be doing the long distance thing for awhile, but because he is a pilot and flies his own plane it won’t quite as bad as if we had to rely on commercial airlines.
He treats me like a queen. I am sooo happy…feeling like a giddy teenager, but so confident that things will really work out for us.
I knows this is sudden but I just wanted all of my friends and family and those I love to know what is going on in my life. And, that Jake….is a fake. Unbelieveable that I have to make something up to blog about. Gotta go for now…..off to the dog groomer’s.

And that is why I love you Shawn. You laugh when you are supposed to laugh. For chickie chickie there, it was probably hitting a little too close to home. I hope I didn't give my dad a heart attack.

Oh, man! You had me from the start. Whether the writing for a magazine article part was fake or not, you should definitely write fiction. I even had to read the Jake the Fake part twice to make sure I wasn't hallucinating!
